The Paddle for Life started after lifeguards from Fistral Beach held a Joe Way memorial paddle to raise money for charity in 2008.  Joe is the inspirational little boy who touched people's lives around the country and beyond.

Our aim is to raise awareness of Joe’s story and inspire people to raise money for their chosen charity.

The sixth Joe Way Paddle for Life lands four Cornish bands for it’s Sunset Session on the beach on Thursday 6th June at Newquay Harbour.

The annual charity paddle has a great musical sunset session on the beach with Ben Sutcliffe from “The String Peoples Foundation”, Cornwall’s “The Straw Dogs”, Newquays "Steel Appeal", who are a 10 piece steel drum band and another local Newquay band "The Racketeers" to finish off in the Rowing Club.

The charity fun paddle starts at 4pm and at around 6.30pm Titan the Robot will arrive to entertain the crowds.

Matt Way. Joe’s dad, said; “We are looking forward to the live music this year as the event keeps getting bigger, we are so grateful for the support that we have and the bands all playing for free to entertain the town”.

Soundworx, owned by Anton Robots who has helped run the last five paddles, will be providing all the PA for the bands as well as the beach and event PA.
