The Paddle for Life started after lifeguards from Fistral Beach held a Joe Way memorial paddle to raise money for charity in 2008.  Joe is the inspirational little boy who touched people's lives around the country and beyond.

Our aim is to raise awareness of Joe’s story and inspire people to raise money for their chosen charity.

The Joe Way Paddle for life has new supporter's for its biggest paddle and music gig to date which is on Thursday 23rd June at Newquay Harbour.

The event has always run at zero cost with everyone giving their time and services for free.

The Paddle is being supported by Newquay Fruit Sales and The Garage Co this year with both companies donating £500 each to help cover some costs and get the charity pot started.

The only elements that are not donated for free are the wrist bands, t-shirts and insurance which are vital for the event to take place.

Tony Locke, from The Garage Co, said; "As a local family business we are pleased to be supporting Joe's Paddle as it's such a great community event."

The other Local business to step up is Newquay Fruit Sales and both companies logos are on all the posters and signage, Director Rachel Craze said; "Newquay Fruit Sales are both delighted and proud of our involvement with this year’s Paddle. The fundraising that Matt and his family undertake is to be applauded and we are honoured to be a part of the effort."

Another new sponsor who has just jumped on board is POW Energy Water who have donated nearly 400 bottles of flavored water for the safety team and to help raise funds.

Charlie from POW said; "We’re excited to be a part of such a great community event and help support such good causes."

All advertisers support the Joe Way Paddle for Life and have generously given their time and products to help raise money
